How Are Companies Innovating Their Hiring Processes?
According to Cornerstone, 3 out of 5 companies recognize the need to automate their recruitment processes to improve their operations
In the dynamic retail landscape, where finding and retaining top talent is a constant priority, leading companies are adopting innovative approaches to effectively manage their human capital.
According to Gianfranco Terzi, Executive Manager at Cornerstone Peru, “Today, 3 out of 5 companies recognize the need to automate their recruitment processes. Furthermore, they seek to integrate constant innovation into their talent recruitment operations.”
Among the innovations revolutionizing the sector, the expert highlights four:
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) in recruitment: AI algorithms enable the analysis of large volumes of data, identifying patterns and key characteristics without personal bias, which optimizes the identification of the right talent.
- In-depth interviews: Recruitment processes are evolving toward more in-depth interviews, where not only technical skills but also soft skills are evaluated; “The business trend is to connect with the candidate to gain a deep understanding of their human value,” notes the specialist.
- Integrated problem-solving: Through the use of collaborative platforms and tools, companies in the retail sector are evaluating candidates’ problem-solving skills in simulated situations, enabling more precise and rapid selection.
- Enhanced employer branding: Companies are strengthening their employer brand to project an attractive and authentic image through creative strategies. According to the talent management expert: “Companies are active on LinkedIn, organize networking events, and position themselves as environmentally committed organizations.”
Implementing effective recruitment and selection processes in the retail sector is essential to ensure the hiring of the most suitable talent.
“In our FMCG, Retail, Pharma & Hospitality division at Cornerstone, we act as enablers of constant innovation in selection processes for companies in the retail sector and beyond, with the aim of ensuring the hiring of the best talent and sustained success for the company,” concludes Gianfranco Terzi.
