Demand for leaders with artificial intelligence skills is growing
Recruitment requests for senior executives with AI skills rise by 50%
Corporate demand for senior executives with artificial intelligence (AI) skills is on the rise, amid a business environment driven by innovation and technology, says Felipe Valdez, Senior Manager of Cornerstone’s Tech & Innovation Division.
“The demand for leaders with knowledge and experience in artificial intelligence (AI) is on the rise. AI is no longer just a complementary tool in the business world; it has become a key differentiator,” says Felipe Valdez. According to data from Cornerstone, recruitment requests for senior executives with AI skills have increased by 50%
over the past year compared to the previous year. “We are seeing a significant increase in demand for leaders who not only possess traditional management skills but also have a solid understanding of AI and related technologies,
” notes Valdez. As for specific areas of AI expertise, the understanding and use of generative AI, data analytics, and automation are the most in-demand among Peruvian companies. "Organizations are looking for leaders who can harness the power of AI to optimize processes, make more informed decisions, and improve the customer experience," the expert notes. Additionally, industries that were not previously directly related to AI—such as manufacturing, logistics, and healthcare—are rapidly adopting this technology to improve efficiency and precision in their processes. "These industries recognize the transformative potential of AI and are seeking leaders equipped to guide them into this new era," notes Felipe Valdez. However, finding talent with these skills is not easy. "It is essential that companies attract the right leaders to drive innovation and sustainable growth in a highly competitive market," he points out.
